What is the purpose?
The Good Health Solutions Health, Productivity Survey is the ideal first step for determining the requirements of a health and wellbeing program.
What is so special about this survey?
This survey is the first of its kind in that it explores new territory by combining aspects of physical, psycho-social, cultural and other determinants of absence and productivity which have hitherto been treated in isolation. The unique aspect of this survey is linking these issues to an employees ability/desire to attend work (absenteeism) and their productivity at work (presenteeism).
What will my company get out of it?
Results will be quantifiable in terms of the dollar value associated with each of these issues, providing companies with a valuable, but often missing element for justifying the investment in risk mitigation strategies.
On completion of the survey, participating companies will be given reports which include analysis of Drivers of Absence and Productivity Loss;
Work Factors
- Work environment (light, temperature, ergonomics, rostering/breaks, hygiene etc)
- Workforce Commitment (reward, recognition, security, affiliation etc.)
- Corporate Culture (communications, management style, status, décor, morale, deviancy etc.)
- Policies, Practices and Procedures (consequences, early intervention, accountability, KPI’s etc.)
- Manager, Supervisor, Peer Relationships (management style/structure, feedback and review etc.)
- Job Satisfaction (demand/control, effort/reward, role clarity, variety, workload, resources etc.)
Non-Work Factors
- Psycho-Social Wellbeing (stress/anxiety proneness, depression, arousal, affect, fatigue etc.)
- Physical Health (risk factors and lifestyle (nutrition, smoking, inactivity), acute conditions (cold, flu, headache), chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, arthritis), alcohol, drugs, sleep etc.)
- Personal Work Ethic (entitlement mentality, work ethic etc.)
- Kinship Responsibility (demographic, support/family networks, age(s) of children/parents etc.)
- Other (financial position, travel, funerals, see lawyer/doctor/accountant etc.)
How do we access it?
No username or password is necessary. Participants simply click on the link, respond to the survey and click on submit upon completion. This information is then auto-uploaded into your company data.
How long does it take?
The survey takes between 10-12 minutes depending on the reading speed of the participant.
Is the survey anonymous?
Yes, the survey is anonymous. At no time are participants requested to fill in their name or date of birth. The company will receive an overall report of all participants but never on any one individual.
Can we get data on separate divisions within our business so that we can see the performance variance among them?
Yes, we can program different business units/locations/site codes into the survey for each company. We recommend that companies do this, so they can receive a departmental analysis of the survey responses.
